Dynamos Cricket Rules
Dynamos Cricket provides children with a more social offer and in schools, an exciting game of countdown cricket. Rules. Players. 8. Squad. 10. Bowling. 5 ball overs. 10. Fielding and bowling. 9 ball overs. 8. The game is played in two parts: the first part is called the “first innings” and the second part is called “the second innings”. The first part starts with the team batting and then playing off, with the batsman batting for each of each team’s five bowlers for a maximum of five runs per over.
When a run is scored, it counts as a wicket for each bowler involved in that over (same as for a run scored in a bat). A player can’t score two wickets in one over, unless he scores two wickets in two different overs of that same game (or if he scores two wickets in one over but fails to score another).
In the Dynamos cricket first innings end when all six of the teams have had their turn to bat or bowl; if any team has not bowled or fielded yet, they must wait until they have done so before continuing their innings. If there are fewer than six players on board at any one time, they may decide to continue without further ado.
The first ten minutes in dynamos cricket are played off (no further overs are played) and no runs are scored until all ten minutes have elapsed; after that, all ten minutes go back to batting/bowling where there will be no runs scored by either team. If there are more than ten players on board at any one time, then this aspect of cricket is suspended, and the next ten minutes are played off.
Each team plays the other team once (in case of a tie) and then starts from scratch. If there is a tie in terms of innings or runs scored, both teams play each other again. If a tie is still possible between teams, both teams start from scratch again.
After all ten minutes have elapsed, the second innings begin in dynamos cricket and the first innings end with a run scored by either side. The first innings end when all six of the teams have had their turn to bat or bowl; if any team has not bowled or fielded yet, they must wait until they have done so before continuing their innings. If there are fewer than six players on board at any one time, they may decide to continue without further ado.

If there are more than ten players on board at any one time, then this aspect of cricket is suspended, and the next ten minutes are played off. Players who do not score two wickets in two different overs will be declared out for their respective over’s run rate (if they were declared out for an over in the previous over).
There can be no substitutions in dynamos cricket during this period; if an overreaches its final point becomes optional for the next ten minutes. This can be done by either the batsman or the bowler, with the batsman being able to declare out if he has taken a run rate of more than fifty overs (which would, in general, be all runs scored) and the bowler being able to declare out if he has taken a run rate of fewer than fifty overs (which would, in general, be all wickets).
The last ten minutes are played off (no further overs are played) and no runs are scored until all ten minutes have elapsed; after that, all ten minutes go back to batting/bowling where there will be no runs scored by either team. If there are more than ten players on board at any one time, then this aspect of cricket is suspended; the next ten minutes will continue batting/bowling. Players who do not score two wickets in two different overs will be declared out for their respective over’s run rate (if they were declared out for an over in the previous over).
There can be no substitutions during this period; if an overreaches its final point becomes optional for the next 10 mins. This can be done by either the batsman or the bowler, with the batsman being able to declare out if he has taken a run rate of more than fifty overs (which would, in general, be all runs scored) and the bowler being able to declare out if he has taken a run rate of less than fifty overs (which would, in general, be all wickets).
A total of 10 runs will be scored by each team in the final ten minutes and a run is scored for every wicket taken by either side. The first person to score ten runs will be declared out. The second person to score ten runs will be declared out.
If a player has taken at least five wickets in the first ten minutes and the batsman has taken at least five wickets in the second ten minutes, then he can declare out for his over’s run rate in two different overs (unless there was a substitute bowler called on). If there is no substitute bowler called on, then the batsman’s over is considered to have run until it runs out of time; if this happens before an over ends or when any match ends, then the batting/bowling period ends and play resumes.
In dynamos cricket if both teams are batting/bowling and there are not any substitutes on board with them at any point during this period, then they must continue with their batting/bowling until the next over begins; otherwise, they must stop playing cricket immediately and play another match until it resumes. This can be done by either one side or both sides playing cricket continuously for as long as it takes them to play another match; if no matches are played during this period, then play resumes from where it left off just after twelve past midnight.
